To the troopers

I have already expressed my gratitude for everyone’s honesty over the past few weeks and I do appreciate it. But I want to thank everyone who has reached out in support whether in a kind word in conversation, a compassionate text message, or a gracious email. Many people have stated something to the effect that we are doing a good job and they trust me. So, thank you to many of you who have been troopers through this process and have embraced the possibilities the Lord may have in store for the St. Joseph, Pillar of Families Parishes. So, a big thank-you to all the troopers out there. Your words and support are deeply appreciated.

This coming Monday, March 20, we will be having a patronal feast day Mass at St. Michael at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate St. Joseph, the patron for our Family of Parishes. This will be a wonderful opportunity for us to build friendships with one another and be reconciled to our brothers and sisters in the Lord. There will be a reception afterwards. St. Joseph led the Holy Family through uncertain times. He will lead us through what lies ahead and help us to find peace in whatever happens. St. Joseph, Pillar of Families, Pray for us!

Please do not miss out on the many opportunities to go to Confession this Lent. The Lord awaits you and desires to forgive you. Though we say sorry many times, He will never tire of forgiving you. Go to Him and His most loving Heart and He will set you free. You are a beloved child of His, and He desires to welcome you back to His bountiful grace.

Do not miss other Lenten opportunities within our Family of Parishes as well. Please check the bulletin for opportunities and details. Thanks to all the people who have made these opportunities possible.

I would like to encourage you to visit the Blessed Sacrament outside of Mass this Lent. We have Adoration on Tuesdays at Holy Angels, Wednesdays at St. Michael, and Thursdays at Sacred Heart. You can also stop to visit our Lord throughout the day in the tabernacle. “He has been waiting two thousand years in the tabernacle to talk with you.” – St. Josemaria Escriva

Thank you again to everyone who supports their parish and their priests. It is greatly appreciated. You are all wonderful and beloved of the Father.

Peace in Christ,

Fr. Jarred Kohn
