Looking towards the end
As the news of moving administrative offices July 1, 2023, came out last week, many emotions, frustrations, hurts, and hopes were expressed. I want to thank everyone for their honesty, care for your parish, care for each other, and care for your priests. I am truly humbled by the way everyone handled themselves. You are all very good.
Please note that we do want to address your concerns and discern how best to address the issues that have been raised. To help keep you updated, note that I will be posting a video the second Sunday of each month to help explain how we are going to address different concerns and the progress that has been made. I hope this will help you stay up to date on everything in relation to the office move.
I understand many are very concerned and fearful. I want you to know this decision was not made lightly and your concerns are taken seriously. We do want to maintain a presence everywhere and want to seek out the lost.
But I cannot do this if I have to manage three offices. By bringing people together, we will be able to address issues more effectively and teamwork will increase. We will be able to focus on the salvation of souls and not simply on trying to focus on maintenance but moving into mission. This may take time and it will not be an easy transition to get to this point. But this is ultimately the goal of what we are doing: focusing on deepening your union with Jesus Christ and bringing others into union with His Most Sacred Heart.
Please know that I am thankful for each and every one of you and I am grateful for the many ways you serve the Lord and His people in many different capacities. Please pray for me, a poor sinner.
Peace in Christ,
Fr. Jarred Kohn
