Twinning Parish Project
Holy Angels Parish is a sister parish with the 6+ parishes of the Mary Mother of God Mission in Vladivostok, Russia for the purpose of developing a Catholic faith-filled relationship with them and to be more involved with the universal Catholic Church. The Project has several goals:
To develop the understanding of the unity of the church as one in the Body of Christ within our parish by working with the parish and all of its groups
To develop a relationship between the parishes by sharing our parish life with them and they with us.
To build communion with our sister/twinning parish as one in the Body of Christ through mutual prayer, the celebration of the Mass, the various sacraments and spiritual activities of our parishes.
To share our parish activities through emails and items shipped to one another including photos, prayers offered, prayer requests, spiritual and local information, parish and school event items, cards, letters, handmade projects, etc.
To exchange visits to one another’s parish to develop personal relationships, as possible.
Our annual activities will include, but not be limited to: shipping of school supplies, sharing handmade items, crafts, spiritual items, etc.; hosting speakers and visitors; doing promotional activities, etc.
Our annual projects will include but not be limited to: a parish-wide school supply drive, an October spiritual bouquet campaign; a January raffle, and a 0-3 baby clothing appeal.
