His Mercy Endures Forever

This coming Thursday, March 24, we will have our Lenten Day of Grace at Holy Angels from 6:00 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Do not miss this opportunity to experience the Lord’s saving grace in the Sacrament of Penance. Invite those who have been away from the practice of the Faith. Confession could be the beginning of a journey back to the Church and Christ.

Please also remember that on Sunday, March 27, there will be no 11:00 a.m. Mass. Instead, we will have the Confifirmation Mass with the Archbishop at Noon. So, if you do not have a reason to be at the Confifirmation Mass, I would encourage you to attend another Mass that weekend, and even consider visiting one of the other parishes in our new Family of Parishes. This could be an opportunity to get to know the people we are going to be working with in the future. The Children of Mary Sisters are coming to us in NW-7. This wonderful blessing and amazing opportunity paves the way for us to make vocations to the religious life and priesthood enflfleshed realities upon all our parish campuses. Our children will have the example of women who have given their life to God. Whether children are called to religious life or priesthood, single life or to marriage, they will still be inspired to give their lives to the Lord.

Our schedule for Holy Week and Easter Sunday is as follows: Holy Thursday: 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Lord’s Supper. Good Friday: 3:00 p.m. Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion. Holy Saturday: 9:00 p.m. Easter Vigil Mass. Easter Sunday Masses are 7:30 a.m., 9:15 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. This is the height of the Liturgical Year in the Church. It is the message and representation of our salvation and His Mercy. So come pray, watch, and listen, for the Lord is in our midst. I pray that your Lent has been a fruitful experience and that it has drawn you more deeply into the mysteries of our Lord’s loving passion for us. Even if you have failed in some of your Lenten practices, remember,“Nunc Coepi! Now!” It is not too late to keep trying and keep getting up, moving forward in your journey with Jesus.

Thank you to everyone who helped with the Brinner, the volunteers who help with Donut Sunday, and so many other activities here at Holy Angels. You are all true blessings to Holy Angels, your fellow parishioners, and to me. May God bless and keep you.

Peace in Christ,

Fr. Jarred Kohn
