Please join us as we welcome Monsignor Frank Lane to Holy Angels on Sunday, October 21, as he leads us in our annual Parish Mission. This is an extraordinary opportunity for each of us to be led into a deeper renewal of our faith and into a fuller transformation of our spiritual life.
Monsignor Frank Lane was ordained in 1967 in Innsbruck, Austria for the Columbus Diocese after receiving his Masters in Theology at the University of Innsbruck. He was assigned as assistant pastor and then pastor at a number of parishes in the Columbus Diocese. During this time he was also a Military Chaplain for the Ohio National Guard and then served on active duty in the US Army as a Chaplain at Ft. Benning, Georgia achieving the rank of Major. After his military service, he was the chaplain at Kenyon College and then returned to the pastoring at parishes in the Columbus Diocese. In addition to a number of degrees including a Ph. D. in European History from The Ohio State University, he was the Vice-Rector of the Pontifical College Josephinum. In 2010, he became the Spiritual Director at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati until 2016. He continues to assist at St. Cecilia, St. Margaret Cortona and St. Anthony parishes in Cincinnati, as well as lecture, provide spiritual direction and teach.
