The Holy Angels Soup Kitchen provides members of our community with a meal and an environment of friendly belonging without discrimination. These lunches are served on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Alpha Center.

This ministry wonderfully survives on private donations and dedicated volunteers. As Jesus welcomed the poor and the lonely, so shall we.

(Small Faith Sharing Groups)

As Catholics we draw from a rich faith tradition and a constant involvement with every aspect of human life and endeavor. We walk with the Lord in order to bring the Lord into every aspect of our human existence and created life. On this journey God has provided us with companions and helpers, brothers and sisters. The Small Christian Community network of Holy Angels Parish is an attempt to enable this Christian Community to support and build up each other so that we may enrich our parish and the Church. Called to support one another we share our resources, our gifts, our talents and our lives so that we may realize in ourselves what it means to be called brothers and sisters in the Lord. We build up Christ's image in each other so that as His Body we may build up His image on earth, so that we may better respond to Christ's command to build the Kingdom of God.

The Parish Prayer Group Community was formed in 1975 out of a desire to share more deeply in Christian life. The members come together each week in prayer and fellowship to grow in the maturing life of the Spirit called forth by Vatican II and proclaimed in Pope John XXIII's prayer for the church to have a "new Pentecost."

Meetings are held each Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in connector of the church.  All are welcomed to attend the Prayer Group and share in joyful prayer and fellowship.

The Prayer Group offers opportunities to participate in the Life in the Spirit seminar. These seven- week sessions are available to all. They provide an opportunity to learn more about the "Abundant Life of the Spirit" of which Jesus spoke. The Seminar takes place within the prayer meeting and is open to all who are hungry to learn.

An ecumenical e-mail prayer line is one of the outreaches of the Prayer Group. We receive an abundance of petitions from many in need. The Holy Angels Prayer Line consists of multiple members who serve others in prayer. A prayer petition book in the rear of the church is also maintained.

St. Martin de Porres Parish in Grenada, West Indies, a Cincinnati Archdiocese Mission, is another outreach of the Prayer Group. We have a yearly bake sale where all funds received  benefit this parish. We are blest to be able to share with them and help with their needs.

The Prayer Group takes seriously the call in scripture that "they devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers." Acts 2, 42. Our mission is Christ's call to "Go, therefore, and make disciples" Matt. 28, 19-20. Bringing others to know of God's love for them through a relationship with Christ and with the help of the Holy Spirit is why we were formed and why we exist.

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic men's organization, founded in 1882 by Reverend Father Michael J. It was founded on the ideals of promoting the concepts of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism, and these same ideals are promoted today.

Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of the month at the council hall at 1300 N. Fourth Ave.

Catholic men age 18 or older are invited to join. For more information call 492-9431.
